Four week pottery class focusing on wheel and sculptural techniques. Beginning and advanced students will learn how to make functional and artistic items like bowls, plates and cups. Students will also learn about other methods of construction to make large serving and accessory pieces. The final week of classes students will learn glazing and painting techniques. You will have an indepth understanding of pottery after your first four weeks.
Kathryn Lanier-Hunt is an accomplished artist with work in various collections and museums. She has been teaching art/pottery classes for 25 years, she is university trained and began teaching in the university setting. She has other teachers who have many years of experience both as teachers and artists.
The studio is top of the line for earthenware and mid-range stoneware. It is clean and includes all tools, accessories and equipment. The studio assistants are detail oriented and highly trained. Work is fired regularly.
Price includes all materials, glazes and firings.
